Introducing Our Next Generation Tyres

In the last Philadelphia Car Show on February 2-20, 2008, Michelin has introduced a pair of next generation of tires. These are airless tyres and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. This is a bit radical design from Michelin. They may not look that nice though, but they’re sure to be the next-generation of tires when they come out. This is an outstanding achievement of great research and development (R&D). After this there will be no more air valves, no more repair kits, and also no more air compressors at gas stations. Also, there will be no more flat tires! Thing is, spike strips won’t work anymore on these tires, for it wasn’t air inflated. Cool huh!

Here is a few closer looks on them:

iPod Revival Tips

Your iPod gets wet in the rain? got dropped in water? worry no more. Such accidents are not very uncommon as it happens rarely. Every once in a while there’s people who dropped his or her iPhone in the toilet, went for a swim while the iPod is still in the pocket or soaked his or her’s when a bottle of juice fell over their trousers.

Most warranty for electronic products does not cover damage caused by water, so how can you revive the wet gadgets?

The solution is so simple as it lies in your own kitchen.

The first thing you must do is to switch off the device if it’s still on, then try to completely cover it in a bowl of rice. Hard to believe?

The fact that rice being a natural desiccant will help absorb the excess moisture. Just leave the device there for at least 24 hours and DO NOT in that time try to charge the device. To speed up the whole process further, that is if your gadget has a
removable battery, simply dry it separately.

This cheap home remedy is worth giving a try before you rush to the store for a replacement.

Chargepod - A New Charging Solution

Tired of having to fight through messy spaghetti ball of wires just to charge up your Centro? Need to charge up all six of your gadgets at the same time? Here comes Callpod with a new charging solution, called Chargepod.

chargepod.jpg

As depicted here Chargepod is a six point charging device, meaning that its user can charge up to six devices all in a time without having to deal with messy wires or extension leads. Worried that your gadgets get burned because of power overload? or your devices lifespan will be cut short because of improper way of charging? Worry less because you don’t have to. This central charging hub (somehow it reminds me of that central USB hub, don’t you think?), is controlled by a voltage regulator technology to make sure that your devices gets only the right amount of power needed. There is also a blue indicator light at each connection point to your device, indicating that power is flowing through and the device connected is being charged.

Whether it is a good idea or not, it is possible to charge a variety of six devices at one time (of course, you can see it in the picture) but it is yet to be proved. On second thought, having only one plug to put into the power outlet does looks good. Cool isn’t it?
