As this site main issue is in the area of technology, security issues that it brings cannot be left untouched. Recently Adobe has announced that Flash is coming to smartphones and referring to our latest post, it includes the popular iPhones. It is indeed highly anticipated but this not only brings good, it also brings bad as in security bad.
Flash has been well known to be widely abused in PC’s. Even though most of the times Flash is no other than just an innocent bystander, leaving it unpatched makes it vulnerable therefore came the extensive list of it being exploited. Although attacks such as Flash-based malware may need phone specific customization, it is easy to see that these smartphones will become the happy victims. Another hard to do attack is the Trojan horse software because all service providers use code signature to restrict which program are allowed to load. However, vulnerabilities runs through the signed and approved program. Once it is executed, the exploit can do whatever Flash is allowed to do!
So, the advice is be worried! and DO NOT FORGET to be careful where you click with your phone.
