Earlier this week, the world’s No.2 giant PC maker Dell launches their latest high-end, ultra thin laptop bringing a brand new design appeal to their enterprise model. Naming it Latitude Z, Dell claims that it is the world’s thinnest and lightest laptop, sizing only 16-inch with 4.5 pound of weight and less than 1 inch thick. However, this one is a bit expensive as they claims the pricing would start around $1,999.
Dell claims that the new product is the first one that offers wireless docking and an inductive charging technology. With the wireless docking, the laptop can be recharged without the need for a power chord as normal laptop would. All that is needed is to place the laptop in a special docking station and the recharging starts. Only that the not so good news is the docking station is sold separately. The Latitude Z is bundled with an always on function that allows instant access to emails and the mobile broadband internet. It also has a touch-sensitive screen frame that can be used to launch applications and scrolling web pages.
